We have already 1:5 prototypes flying but will release the Valkyr very soon. You can expect to see the first video of the Valkyr flying in the first quarter of 2019. The Valkyr will be tested at our test airport in Toulouse, France. The Valkyr will be deployed around the world as we have already many requests for it.
For the larger aircraft which can be used as air taxi, the X01, we plan to release the first view at the end of 2019;
Yes we do. The VTOL (Vertical Take-Off and Landing) are a new kind of aircraft. They are not drones, airplanes or helicopters. EVA is working closely with EU EASA and U.S. FAA to develop the new certifications guidelines. We are very pleased with the first guidelines draft from EASA which confirms our technological choices such as a compact structure under 2,000 kilos or pilot-equivalent flight mode.
We have mostly B2B customers. This includes:
- Travel and hospitality customers (for instance hotel chains which want their customer to have a seamless mobility between the airport and their hotel)
- Mobility apps (many are already planning to tap the urban air mobility segment)
- Rescue organizations (Did you know that the X01 costs 10 times less to operate than a helicopter and can land on 107 square feet only?)
- Facilities & Surveillance
- Goods Delivery
- 3D Data companies
And many more as our market is estimated at 1.5 trillion dollars by Morgan Stanley
